Overlord Side Story Event
Always nice to get more husbando and waifs but the best part of Overlord is the gear event. Just like the past Lethe event, you can farm the stages for currency to exchange for epic gear.
That’s right, you get only epics from this event. This is where you send all your resources as long as you can clear the stages. For veterans, this is the best event to chase speed. Here’s my quick recommendations on what to farm.

Week 1 - Destruction / Health / Immunity
This is the week to farm if you’re a bruiser/slow player.
Destruction set
Destruction is the best set for any DPS that doesn’t require high speed inclusive of bruisers.
If you’re a newer player, destruction is best as you can acquire gear to help with one-shot hunts, future rifts, expeditions, etc.
Health set
Health set is the best tank down set especially with the release of Laia, Urban Shadow Choux and Albedo (and her artifact)
Immunity set
Immunity is the lowest priority of the three but is very useful against things like Ambitious Tywin which is prevalent now in GVG/Arena.
You can put Destina or other high ER hero on Immunity
Week 2 and 3 - Speed / Critical / Penetration
All late game players will exclusively farm speed set as this is the best chance at getting a high speed piece. Epics can penta roll and having high speed with other stats is incredibly powerful.
Speed set is recommend for everyone else as well simply to maximize the chances of getting usable gear. Speed set is useful on any hero. This is particular true for F2P players

Best set to farm, usefull for everyone and versatile.
Penetration set
Second best choice. Very usefull for solo DPS.
Critical set
Lets be honnest, let’s put this aside. Even though it can be usefull, the others choices are better.
First steps and advice
Don’t forget to equip your pet. This isn’t a hunt but rather a side story, so don’t forget to equip your pet appropriately for better farming!
Another advice is to first farm to purchase the imprints of Ainz Ooal Gown. You can also enhance your artifact. This will already help you a lot for now.
It’s pointless to waste resources unnecessarily. Since these are collab characters, they have a buff when you use them in this side story. As you can see in the image below, I left mine at level 1 without increasing anything
What team should you run ?
Week 1 : What team and gear do I use ?
As you can see above, I’m using both collaboration characters… They work very well in this event. I also add Rem and Camilla. I only turn off Camilla’s skills. I leave Rem with her skill on for an AOE and to finish off the small monsters in case she hasn’t countered, and to get the attack buff.
This team runs a lot of Def Break in case I have bad RNG so i’m pretty happy with it (and Rem is in the team).
For both of them, I just grabbed the first equipment I could find and it works very well.
I prioritized speed to reach 190 speed and HP for Albedo (the more, the better), and for the rest, I put what I could into crit chance and crit damage.
For Ainz Ooal Gown, I prioritized speed to reach 230 speed and 100% effectiveness, and the rest of the stats I put into damage. For artifacts, I obviously use their respective artifacts.
For Rem, I took the gear from my DPS that I use to farm Wyvern 13 and put it on Rem. Anyway, we’re going to farm this event for the next few weeks to come! Whether it’s a Rage set or Destruction set, both work.
Additionally, you can add the Penetration set (if you can, otherwise use the Critical set). For stats, I aim for 4100 attack, 100% crit chance, and 340 crit damage. Since I don’t have really good gear, I use her artifact to help me reach 100% crit. But any other artifact that adds damage works as well… The other stats don’t matter much.
For Camilla, I’m using Benimaru’s Tachi, an excellent artifact for her. I have 210 speed, 100% effectiveness, 2400 attack, 100% crit chance, and 240% crit damage. The other stats don’t matter much.
My team doesn’t have insane gear, far from it, it’s even below average, yet it clears quite quickly without difficulty. I’m sure your clears are faster! If you have better teams to suggest, don’t hesitate to contact us! We’ll update the guide 🙂
What if I don't have rem ? I missed the re:zero collab
If you missed the Re:Zero collaboration and don’t have Rem, don’t worry. As simple as it may sound, if you run the event just with Ainz and Albedo, it works just as well and the clear time is far from bad! You just need S imprint on Ainz, since it’s free grab it ASAP. With just 2 characters, you can do it!
Week 2 : What team and gear do I use ?
For this event, pure damage is key as the boss is immune to Defense Break, I took only damage dealers. Shalltear greatly assists in this aspect. We can either focus on maximizing turns for Ainz’s skill or prioritize pure damage. Personally, I try to combine both. So, to reiterate: With just Shalltear, Ainz, and a Healer (such as A.Montmorancy for F2P players), you can succeed. For a quicker run, I opt for Ainz, Shalltear, alongside Midnight Gala Lilias and C. Pavel. Don’t forget to maximize Ainz’s imprint. I turn off Shalltear’s and C.Pavel’s skills.
For Ainz, my focus is solely on maximizing speed at 265, then aiming for 100% crit chance.
For Midnight Gala Lilias, it’s 235 speed, 4000 attack, and 330% crit damage (with only 7900 health).
As for Commander Pavel, I’ve geared him with 4600 attack, 350% crit damage, and the rest doesn’t matter.
Conclusion
To conclude, it’s an event not to be missed that will definitely provide you with good equipment. It’s an event where you can really farm all the time and even spend your Leifs. The teams mentioned don’t require incredible gear to achieve good results.
